Dean Henderson admits having a difficult time after contracting coronavirus early in the season. But now it’s ready to leverage his own good form for Manchester United. Last season,
Henderson and David de Gea competed for number one and it looks like they might get a chance to become one. True, when the season started,
however, Henderson contracted the coronavirus and it took a while to recover, allowing De Gea to continue to be the number one and perform well for his position once again.
Still, the 24-year-old, who returned to the post in the Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham United, is also available to thrive in his form to compete for the title.
“It’s been a tough few months but I’m back, back in the team and it’s great to feel full of energy,” Henderson said.
“Of course it interrupted me at the beginning of the season and I was unlucky to get sick. But at the end of the day you have to look down and come back stronger than ever
. I haven’t been able to bring my best form to the pitch against Manchester United yet. I feel good, feel good and now it’s going to be a matter of playing form one game
at a time. Opportunities and creations from those games And the best performance you’ve ever seen me on the pitch in a United shirt.”
