Sunderland sign Adingra on five-year deal

Premier League new boys Sunderland have officially announced the signing of Ivory Coast winger Simon Adingra from Brighton on a five-year deal.

Adingra is Sunderland’s sixth signing as they prepare for next season’s Premier League campaign. Following the arrivals of Enzo Le Fer, Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, Renildo Mandawa and Chamddin Talby.

The player opened up after officially joining the team, saying: “I’m very happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started with this club.”

Adinga began his career with Danish side Norrskjælland in 2020 and scored on his debut against Copenhagen before becoming one of the most exciting prospects in the 2021/22 campaign, earning a move to England with Brighton.

The signing is Sunderland’s sixth of the summer as they prepare for their first season back in the Premier League since 2016-17, joining Enzo le Fee, Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo Mandava, and Chemsdine Talbi.
